Emerging from the Coma

Well, I finally woke up. Took a walk to Target, bought some stuff for the show (new mascara! baby wipes!).
I found a neck pillow online that I may buy. I get a lot of headaches, and the chiropractor helps - but I'm pretty sure I could be doing a bit more preventative maintenance. Getting a pillow that actually supports my neck seems to be an obvious start.
I still have a $50 gift certificate for Amazon that I need to use. Hmmm....
I just spent $60 at Columbia House. Yes, I could've saved it. But I got my Fed tax return and figured that the expense was worth it - I can now cancel my membership!
Monte and I still need to open a joint savings account. This weekend, I think.
I am happy that a few of my bigger resolutions seem to be sticking.
1. Monte and I eat at home most of the time now. The food is terrifically tasty, cheaper and often better for us.
2. Partially due to the above, I am eating better. I am eating more fruits and vegetables.
3. My financial plan seems to be really helping! I am no longer constantly stressed about money. Of course, #1 above is helping with this too.
I get my paycheck and first thing I make all the payments that need to come out of that paycheck. Then I budget in the constant expenses (gas for the go-mobile, groceries, etc.). And I find that I have money left over! That's AFTER making a couple of bigger payments on credit cards (to pay off quicker) and AFTER putting a bit aside each month for savings. Yay me!
I'm also taking a multi-vitamin each day now. I'm still sleepy, but I hope the overall effects will be positive.
