Mosey'd home last evening. Still no third Netflix movie ("Waking Ned Devine"). Hunh.
Monte arrived just as I was finishing re-arranging the kitchen cupboards. Things were getting a little too willy-nilly in there. So, I put all the "baking" stuff on one shelf and all the dinner, cooking, sauce stuff on the other shelf.
It pleases me oddly.
Since I was already digging in the cupboards, we nosed around for dinner ideas and settled on chicken in an herb sauce with green peppers and broccoli, over fettucine. Nummy! While Monte cooked, I did dishes. It seems to be a good arrangement.
Then we settled in to watch "Training Day". Denzel gives an Oscar-worthy performance, no arguments here. But I couldn't help but observe that it took him playing a thug to get him an Oscar. Are we rewarding more black stereotypes? Don't know.
We watched a few of the extras on the disk before turning in. I slept like a log. (It's log! It's log! It's big! It's heavy! It's wood!)
I even managed to drag my ass out of bed at a reasonable time (not early enough to exercise, darn it) and get to work only 5 minutes late (compared to my usual 15). Go me!
I've gotten work done this morning. Go me some more!
My tummy continues to function normally!
I brought my lunch today - nummy turkey sammich!
Tonight, Monte and I will go over more resume stuff as part of our weekly "get Monte a job" crusade. And then I may go see a final rehearsal of "West Side Story" at Bloomington Civic Theatre. I don't really want to. But it's $20 for a ticket (Egads!). And it sounds like a limp production. But I have to see it (since friends are in it) so tonight would be best since it would be free.
We'll see.
In other news, I finally made my choice of movie for Movie Night. I picked "Three Days of the Condor" since I always love a good spy flick. After watching Denzel last night, I suffered some buyer's regret about not picking "Much Ado About Nothing". Damn, he's hot. But a young Robert Redford is pretty tasty too. And besides, it's a classic.
Tomorrow night - rehearsal.
Friday night - nothing on my calendar yet! Amazing!
Saturday - lunch with Dan & Amy (closeted geeks), evening with Cap'n & Krystal and Rodger at Lozerfest
Sunday - board meeting and Movie Night
Monte is out of town most of the weekend, visiting his cousin in Madison. He leaves Friday afternoon, gets back Sunday afternoon.
So, if anybody out there wants to be social Friday night and keep me from being lonely...??
(Sidenote: I get a little pleased ego-boo when I hear or read that someone's been listening to a compilation I made for them. I love compilations, and I shouldn't be surprised that others do, too. But it's always nice to know that I didn't screw up.)
