The ceremony site is set. (Still need to get the contract finalized. Hey, 433, does Tom have a personal email address that might work better than phone calls? He always seems so busy.)

And now, the reception site is set! YESSSS! {chair dance with fists} The contract is being mailed today for our perusal. The McNamara Alumni Center - very modern, very angular, spacious. It has a fireplace! And it is connected by tunnels to the nearby parking garage AND the Radisson Hotel. Schweet, schay I. (You can find info on it and a picture of it here

(We decided on the pretty-yet-expensive space due to an unforeseen windfall and our own finance-making plans.)

The caterer is also decided (so it could be three down, I guess), but we haven't finalized a menu.

Still to do: Photographer and DJ are the next big things to get done. Once those are done, alot of the pressure is off. And Monte and I get to start doing the fun stuff! Like designing the invitations, and the dresses, and shopping for the cake, and deciding how to decorate.

So, today I will make up a cheat sheet of all the photographers I have found who look interesting. Tonight, Monte, Lexinatrix and I are going to an "open house" for photographers and djs. They have free wine and cheese, which is really the main draw. But we'll get to look at photographers, and see presentations from djs. It should be silly good fun, and maybe I'll even get some tips and ideas.

I'm really inclined towards a digital photographer.

Hamburgers and Blondes

Got home, no Monte. Thought about dinner. Phone rings. It's Monte. "Do you want hamburgers for dinner?" Yes, say I! Meat meat meat!

So, the way the evening turned out: Monte's Monday Movie was just Monte, Nathan and I. Monte made us all hamburgers. Then we watched the movie that Nathan picked: Legally Blonde. About 15 minutes into it, Pied_Piper shows up with my comp cds! Woot! I hand off the one I'd managed to get ready for him. We both mutually admire. He sticks around for about a half hour of the movie and laughs alot. And then, he's off again. (I've been listening to the first cd all morning. The second cd is for the afternoon.)

We finish movie. Nathan leaves. Monte goes to bed. Since it is only 9:30pm I am not tired. So, I stay up and read.

This morning, I got up and did 40 minutes on the NordicTrak. Worked up some nice sweat. And had a really good stretch afterwards. Ahhhh.

Tonight is wine and cheese, so I should have a lighter lunch to balance that out. And we might just end up at the India Palace after the wine and cheese. It's possible.
