Where have all the Windys gone?
May. 9th, 2003 12:06 pmWednesday night: A satisfying outing with Bravo Company. More about bonding than bridesmaid-ing. Saw the reception space, soliticed ideas and opinions, and retired to Annie's Parlor where I completely blew my diet for the day, but hugely enjoyed the company.
Last night: Board meeting. Efficient yet enjoyable. I shouldn't rely on board meetings to have face time with some of my favorite people, though. I sure enjoy that crew. I need to relax about the agenda though - when I see a long agenda, I get wound up and actually, last night, it wasn't that bad. I must have more faith.
Last night I discovered that I have picked up a gesture from my last director (of "Godspell"). Because Perrin commented on it. I had done it unconciously. I hate it when I absorb people/mannerisms/accents like that.
Tonight, MOnte and I have opted to stay in (the weather setting the "indoor" mood). We will make dinner and watch a movie and have invited Lex and Vackovich to join us.
Other things that need to happen:
- book a dj
- book a photographer
- go look at dresses, patterns, and fabric
- go see "A Mighty Wind" at The Heights
- send in the reception site contract
- finalize the contract with The Heights
- get Volunteers organized for this year
- revamp badging with the Volunteers Crew
- meet with Registration and check up on all the usual crap
- it'd be nice to get ahead on all the typically "last minute" con stuff
- I have several costumes to make
- get a part-time job (hopefully waitressing)
- do some serious scrubby cleaning this weekend
- Mother's Day
On the more perky side:
- Monte has likely found himself a part-time job at a framing shop. Really close to our apartment. Yay!
- I have exercised every morning this week. I wish I could record the feeling when I exercise regularly, because I just feel so much better.
On a final note, Monte recently got a burr about wanting to own a residence. Because he's tired of white walls. He wants to be able to paint. Of course, while now is a great time with the interest rates, it's a terrible time what with the wedding planning/saving/scrimping.
Ain't he cute?
