Never get involved in a land war in Asia
So, last night, Dave and Jim (Monte's buddies) came over and we watched our brand spanking new Princess Bride DVD with Rob Reiner's commentary. We didn't watch any extras, and the commentary wasn't really all that insightful or interesting. About half-way through, I tuned out and started reading my book again.
In fairness to the movie, the book is really good and I'm completely hooked. "The Miocene Arrow" which is the sequel to "Souls in the Great Machine" both by Sean McMullen.
Monte made a lovely dinner of pasta and veggies. And he went to Sam's Club after work so we have more groceries! Now for a grocery store run for some of the other things you just can't get at Sam's Club (or can't get at good prices/reasonable portions).
I am having fridge envy. The MoneySnakes bought a new fridge and it is large, well made, efficient, with nice design touches (like the freezer is on the bottom and instead of a door opening, it's a drawer that pulls out). I love my apartment, but my fridge is Windy-sized and therefore a little too small to hold all the food we would like it too. *le sigh*
Today at lunch I am going bridal dress perusing with
moneygod. We will taunt the salespeople and make them thing we want to buy. It will be fun.
And I have a ton of CVG work to get done. Still need to find a part-time job too.
But overall - life is good.
