I've been craving bad 80's albums I used to own. Like Quarterflash ("famous" for Harden My Heart, they may have had one other "hit" as well). I can't help it. I have nostalgia for bad music.

Last night, I left work early so that Monte and I could go meet up with our Photographer of Choice, Wendy Woods. Since I had done most of the initial meetings, the decision was made partially blind. We were sold on the two-photographers for the day, on the digital cameras, on the price and (me) on the pictures I saw. Monte wanted to see some pictures too, darn it! So, off we go to Stillwater.

And Monte was impressed. And they geeked over camera technology together. And Monte is very excited and pleased now too. And Wendy Woods is a big geek. She proclaimed her favorite author to be Stanislaw Lem. She is excited by how untraditional our wedding will be.

So, after a pleasant hour, we bid her goodbye and headed off to Khan's. We haven't been to Khan's in AGES. And if you're gonna go out for dinner and you're on a diet, Khan's is a pretty decent choice. Although I should have resisted the baotse (sesame bun). And the peanuts. Ah well.

Monte has been wrestling with his laptop over the past several days and this morning pronounced it dead. A new hardrive and it will revive like Frankenstein though! Sucky timing however considering that he needs to get the Program Book done.

Tonight, dinner out with friends. Happiness for me!

I've been reading my new Sandman comics. (I've read them before, but these are MINE and deserve to be reread by ME.) I'm already into volume 4 (Season of Mists) and I'm just revelling in how much I love the characters and stories and dialogue and art. It's just so chewy and satisfying.

And I get to have lunch with Dan (of "Dan & Amy, my closeted geek friends") so that makes for the nice.
