I feel better. I must be in denial.

It's been such a busy week, that I've completely lost track of the days.

Me to Monte this morning, "Is today Thursday?"

So, the drive out to Stillwater was hell last night, if hell is a cold, slushy place where people move stupid-slow. Excuse me, other drivers, but the roads aren't that bad! They are wet, yes, and if you pull into another lane, you need to be prepared for the inter-lane slush. But there is no reason for us all to be going 5 mph!

(Going home was worse. The snow had stopped, the roads had been salted/plowed. There was a lot less traffic. And people were still driving 35 mph on clear - almost dry! - interstates.)

So, I was a half-hour late to rehearsal. I apologized. And then we were delayed because they were repairing a flat onstage. I was less than gracious about it, in retrospect. I also worry that I yell at the kids alot. Then again, they get all hopped up and excited and stop paying attention and I need to get them all to do something...there's very little recourse except to yell to get their attention.

So, we finished Havana. *phew* It took far too long, but at least it's done. And then we started Act 1. We got half-way through. But it was alot less painful than it could've been. So, suddenly, I'm feeling alot better about the show. I know this because I did not have directing-dreams all last night. I actually got to sleep.

I think I will share the news with the kids. Yes. "I want you to know that I am very pleased with how the show is coming together. I know this because I slept well last night, so even my subconcious is pleased with you! That said, you suck! Work harder!"

*giggle*

I'm in a really weird mood today. I might be from the morning sex. Oh! Was that TMI? Tough! You don't wanna know, don't read my lj!

Monte stayed home "sick" today. He's very ill ... and needs to do all sorts of housecleaning and party prep (and birthday surprise things) today.

Birthday party tomorrow night!! Whee!
I have two conversations scheduled for the party already! Oh! Maybe I should put a sign-up list out for people to sign up for conversations with me? Like a dance card, only different.

Actually, a sign-up sheet for the Dinner Parties Club might not be a bad idea...hm...

Other random thoughts:
"Oldest Established" looked and sounded good last night. Whee!
The kids are very supportive of each other. They watch what's going on and laugh and applaud at the end of the numbers. I'm happy about that.
Sky and Sarah actually kissed without flinching! It needs to be a bit longer of a kiss, but we're getting there!
I was craving peshwari naan, but the restaurant was closed by the time I could've gotten there.
I can't wait to be done with rehearsals so I can do some serious housecleaning and Clutter Jihad.
I want DDR. I wants it now.
I have taken a multivitamin both yesterday and today and I notice that I am lagging less in the mornings. Hm.

OH! And there may be an emergency sewing call next week, depending on how the costume shop foraging goes this weekend.

Wondering and considering

So, for many years now, I have thought/talked/considered organizing an all-girls Trivia Contest Team.

I've hesitated to do so until now because I recognize that we'll probably get our collective asses handed to us. After all, I am friends with Kelvin, Mike Lee, Cajones and many others far more "trivial" than I am.

But it might be fun, nonetheless. Even realizing that remembering stuff is easy when you're in the audience, but hard when you're on the spot.

So...I'm wondering who out there might be interested in an all-girls team?
We might not even make it past the qualifying quiz.

My trivia base is broad and shallow, but I do know a bit about fantasy books, movies obviously, some comics, tv shows (although not much Dr. Who).
