Friday night: Matt's! Jucy Lucy goodness with Lexinatrix and Vackovich. Woohoo! There had been idle talk of maybe going out for a movie, but the ingestion of so many fats proved to bring out the sloth in us. To home and to bed!
Saturday: Pain. Cancelled audition. Took muscle relaxant. Oooohhhhh yesssss...watched The Business of Strangers before the logey really set in. Then I slowly melted into the futon and fell asleep. Drugged, boneless asleep. Monte came home from the weekend job and found me all drugged up and immobile. Oh, baby, is that sexy! Um...no.
He went out to friends' for the evening (which was fine with me). I watched Center Stage again. Bad movie, but fun to watch nonetheless. Thought about watching Chocolat but didn't have any chocolate on hand and I just knew that would be cruel - set up a craving I couldn't get a fix for. So, I read "The Dark Knight Returns" instead.
Sunday: Awoke in MUCH less pain. Watched Wonder Boys. Went to belated birthday lunch at the In-laws. Where I had the excuse of pain and drugs to keep me from having to make much conversation. Go me! Grilled burgers and chocolate cake, yay. I am bemused that my "present" from my in-laws was a print of one of our wedding pictures that Monte had framed. I should ask, but I'm pretty sure that Monte printed it out and framed it, so what? They paid for the frame? When she asked what I wanted, I gave her GREAT ideas (gift certificates for eating out - hello?!?). And I get a picture that - yeah, it's one of the best - but not exactly a winner in the gift department.
Then Wick Movie night and the excellent North by Northwest which I had not seen. Where is this generation's Cary Grant, I ask you?
Then home.
Tonight - another chiro appointment. Then hair cutting. And cleaning. And maybe more DVD viewing. Must get the place in shape for Thursday's Xanadu Viewing Party. Not to mention the mini-vacation of next week (I need to do laundry!).
I continue unmotivated and generally listless.
