I want more bed
May. 24th, 2004 01:25 pmFriday night: successfully achieved birthday dinner for Lucyruthe. Much fun and good food. Went to Natasha's going away party where I reconnected with many theatre chums. John Command did NOT show up. Was mostly okay and fun, only a few awkward moments. But was there far later than planned and thus did not find my way back to Lucyruthe's party. For sad.
Saturday: Napped the morning away. Then got up and went on a major safari of cloth and patterns. Cheb joined me in Roseville, where I was unimpressed with the selection of fabrics. (Most fabric stores are turning into Quilting and Fleece Stores. Sigh.) So, we giggled and pawed things and bought a few things and then I went on alone to Southtown where I was mightily pleased and appeased.
I had thoughts of a TArget run and perhaps finding a place that would sell me more calendar pages for my planner, but time ran out. I ran to the grocery store for movie party snacks where I was called by Petsnakereggie.
"Would you mind stopping at the grocery store for me?"
I'm at the grocery store as we speak.
Oh, the beautiful coincidence and convenience.
We watched four bad movies. Sadly, while all were a waste of film and money, none were truly awful enough to enjoy. They just numbed you down and you watched in drooling horror. Gigli is not the worst movie ever made. Ecks vs. Sever was much worse.
Home late and to bed.
Sunday, Monte and I spent the entire morning in bed. [insert porn music] Well, not actually. He was working on his laptop, and I was reading. And we were snuggling. With the rainy chill and two cats snuggled up next to us, it was the PERFECT morning. And we ate cookie dough in bed. Cookie dough is the preferred way to eat cookies in bed - no crumbs.
Monte then had to go to work for quarterly inventory. And I made the call that I was going to be slothful all day, in tribute to the weather. Which I did, except for a quick jaunt out to view Lexinatrix's new Lair. I have deemed it "cute!" Fairly spacious, terrific light, quirky corners so it's not just a pre-fab box. And great light fixtures. It was nice to see Vackovich too. And getting out was good, since I clearly needed to jumpstart my brain as my language circuits were misfiring.
Back home. I both started and finished "Killer Clown" in the same day. I love gulping down a book when I get the chance. Thanks Cheb! And then I decided to play some DDR, which I hadn't in quite a long while. And then I watched The Sixth Sense which is still a good movie.
I have a ton of fabric and many patterns and many things to sew. And this week, I am busy every evening.
Monday: Rodger's birthday party
Tuesday: Bob & Rose with Michaellee
Wed: Officer interview
Thurs: Board & Officer meeting
Fri: Stillwater High School theatre banquet
Sat: tribute party
I am looking forward to much mighty sewing on Memorial Day.
