Dja miss me?
May. 27th, 2004 12:01 pmWell, I did take yesterday off. Nyah. I still have resentment floating around about the passive-aggressive communication. And the "attendance" issue when I am simply using the time I've earned, darn it.
I should address these issues in my annual review.
And the fact that there is apparently nobody savvy enough to back me up when I'm gone. *rolls eyes*
So, back to my life, which is so much more interesting:
Tuesday night I joined Michaellee for the finish of "Bob and Rose" which I highly recommend. Thanks, Mike!!
Monte had Wednesday off as well, due to inventory over the weekend.
So, we both slept in a bit. The most luxurious point was setting the alarm for 8am, and then at 8am - shutting it off and going back to sleep!
We were still up by 9am though. Monte exercised while I started the day's project: cutting out pattern pieces.
I hate cutting out pattern pieces. It is the part of sewing that I hate the most. Unfortunately, it's a necessary part (obviously) - because it's also the time when I stop and do alot of the fitting and math and geometry to make the pattern do what I need it to do. It's also where I start to learn the pattern and figure out how it works. So, it's not like it's something that I could just handover to someone willy-nilly. Assuming there was someone on the planet that LIKED to cut things out.
And I need a cutting table. Or at least a bigger dining room/work table. I end up cutting things out on the floor. Like I did yesterday. For 9 hours. On my hands and knees, hunched over, crawling around. I ache today. I didn't exercise officially, but the unofficial exercise was more than enough.
The good news is that I have a HUGE start on a majority of my current sewing projects. Which means I can just sew this weekend. Zip zip! And hopefully I will make a quantum leap forward in my need-to-do list and life will not be stressful going into the convention!
Tonight - Board/Officer meeting. And hopefully some fittings. Tomorrow - Stillwater High School theatre banquet. And hopefully a drop-by to Pizza Luce to see Alisgray off!
