CBS and NBC have refused to air this ad because it is "too controversial".

http://www.stillspeaking.com/default.htm

What is this country coming to?

How is this "controversial"? Admitting that there is bigotry and exclusion in the world? That there are gays? That some people have skin a different color?
Or is it the idea of inclusion that is controversial?

So, apparently the tech woman who was supposed to build the KMK sets and didn't now wants half the pay because "she did half the work".

Color my flabber gasted.

If by "half" she means "all the parts that didn't involve building sets" then...maybe?

Freaks.
Freaks are everywhere.

Wednesday last: ran errands after work, napped briefly, got on the road to KC at about 9:30pm. Arrived before 4am. Always let the Windelina drive.

Thursday, Thanksgiving: up early, watched some Parade and complained about the lameness of the musical acts and how the girls must've been freezing. Helped prepare food. Ate heartily. Watched movies that MagicMarmot had brought. Sleepies. (Did not get out of comfy jammy clothes all day.)

Friday: putzed in the morning, made it out to a matinee showing of "National Treasure" at the Englewood theatre. Which is a gorgeously restored 50's/60's movie house. Very lovely. I talked to the owner afterward and when I mentioned we were from Mpls, he said, "I know people there! Tom Letness runs The Heights Theatre." Omigod! I totally got married at The Heights! "Yeah, I gave Tom his chandeliers!"
Small world indeed.

MagicMarmot decided to get back to Des Moines, and so Mom Monte and I went out and saw "Shall We Dance" which was very charming.

Saturday: to the Atkins for Tannenbaum Tag (they put up the tree that day. duh.). Much food and socializing. Escaped shortly after the meal. Went home and cleaned Mom's ceiling fans whilst Monte shrinkwrapped her windows. Then we watched "Connie and Carla" which we laughed at.

Sunday: breakfast and then back on the road home. (In 6 hours this time! Woo!) Then out to Wick Movie Night which was the enjoyable "Pieces of April".

Monday: scrambled to get my head together for the first of the Auditioning Workshops. Did fine. Talked too much, but still pretty good.

Tuesday: revamped the Auditioning Workshop. Much smaller group made things a bit easier. Felt very good about it.
After the workshop, Monte and I went to India Palace (peshwari naan!!) and then home for some anniversary cake (Buttercream Collection!!) and white shiraz (sweet yet spicy!).

Today:
I am busy busy at work, much more alert than I've been for the past two days, looking forward to holiday movies tonight.

Things on the To Do list:
- get costumes back to their homes (pick up from cleaners, return to various costume shops and peoples)
- prepare for The Crucible auditions and get those scheduled
- figure out what I'm doing about holiday presents since we are cash poor
- put up holiday decorations (I desperately want holiday lights on my porch!)
- anticipate BNAT mightily!! and eventually pack and go!
- loads of other things that I'll get around to eventually

Love you all! Hope to see you throughout this season to give you great big hugs of loveness!
