Another successful convention weekend

Omegacon was a blast. It's always an adventure going to a convention, no matter how small. I always end up talking to people I haven't seen in a while, and people I see all the time...and completely failing to even see others. Even with a small convention.
I did get sewing done over the weekend. And I got a lot of things cut out. In fact, I am almost done with Cutting Things Out. How cool is that?
In addition to being a good and productive girl, I also got to
- spend nice time in the hot tub
- imbibe alot of tasty pear cider
- play Boggle
- play Times Up
- play DDR (and get alot better!)
- play with Spacebug's hair...she was a palm tree!
- play with many others' hair
- get rubbed by MagicMarmot
- eat far far too much
- giggle the night away
- admire the Twinkie art
I could've used more Boggle time, and some Apples to Apples and possibly Pit. Also, Chronology would've been fun. And some more chatting time with many others would have been good too.
I was grumpish all weekend, unfortunately. Stress and sleep-lacking mostly, I think. Ah, well.
I discovered that all I need to do to make myself giggle is make eye contact with Aaron. Interesting.
I think Omegacon has discovered its personality. Supercon (the other local relaxacon that I attend) is very much about "hanging out". Things are very very low-key. Games get played, but mostly you end up sitting around and talking to people. It's relaxing in the more sedentary, social way.
Omegacon is about relaxing through play. There's more of an "up and awake" vibe to the whole thing. Which is not to say that you can't sit and read a book, or hang out in consuite all day. But it's more about indulging in what you love to do with your free time.
I think.
And the Clarkses were there. And the Connie's Space Lounge crew. And a ton of other new people. And a ton of the usual faces. And I don't think I talked about the wedding too much. (I hope.) And many were introduced to DDR and discovered the joys. And there were Ethel cookies (and cookie dough)! And many were the non-sequiturs. "Good panties!"
If you took pictures, let us know so that we can post them to the website. We must share the Twinkie art with the world....
