So - my winning contest entry for the Worst Movie Idea Ever is up on AICN. And there have been a couple of people in TalkBack who have called me an idiot (and worse) because "Sunday in the Park with George" was brilliant and how dare I profane it like that!?!?!!

I clearly have never seen it, hate musicals, and don't know what I'm talking about.

See how this just makes me laugh?
It's beautiful.

So, last night was the much-anticipated HAMLET at Jeune Lune. )

Tonight, I have NOTHING I have to do. Yay. Bliss bliss bliss.

I just got my holiday bonus check!!
It's for $200!
Okay - I know there are other places out there that give outrageous holiday bonuses.
But it's $200 I didn't have before.

{doing a happy little chair dance} (Lex knows which one. It's the one with the jazz hands.)

Now, I get a moment of glorious financial relaxation. Then I will figure out how to best apply it. Not "spend" it. That connotes some amount of freedom. No, this money will be "applied".

Happy Holidays!

Oh! And I get to leave work early next Monday and have free booze and food! Holidays are fun. Yay holidays!

Oddly, despite my financial woes, I think I may end up having quite the terrific holiday season. I know that I'm certainly feeling the spirit. It has been slowly building in me for the last two days. Spontaneous snatches of carols. Wanting to get the tree up this weekend. All the pretty lights downtown.

So - let's get crafty!

All of you who wanted to have a crafts night, let's set a date!!

There's this weekend, but that's rather uprupt. Still - would it work?
There's Monday night, the 9th?
There's Tuesday the 17th?
The 18th?
The 20th?

I'm oddly pleased that one of my lawyers is a practicing Jew. I think it's kinda nice to see someone making religion/spirituality a priority in his life. He takes the Jewish holidays off. And he leaves early on Fridays in the winter so he can be home before sunset.

On a completely unrelated note, I have just encountered the most forced, mangled spelling of a name ever.
(Discovered on a lunch receipt, it is the name of the server)

Brytni

Good heavens. If you want them to have an unusual name, don't name them Brittany, no matter how you spell it!
Why would you curse your child with a name they will ALWAYS have to spell out for people?
I'm saying this as a Windy, not a Wendy, thank you.
