Oy - what a weekend. Already.

I find myself suffused with ennui with my own life. A specific sort of ennui - I like living my life, I'm enjoying the day to day activities, I'm content and happy and joyful. I just find posting about it to be dull.

Friday night - rehearsal, then dashed over to TIMMY!s roast. I completely missed the roast, but did get tons of social time with loads of people. Yay!

Saturday - kinda slept in, but got up and headed out to [livejournal.com profile] barda's birthday dim sum soiree. (Is it a soiree when it's in the morning? I doubt it.) I find many things to nosh on despite my picky-eatiness. And the company was delightful!

After dim sum I had every good intention of going to the MISFITS Open Meeting. But then I realized I was sleepy. Sleepy to the point of crabby. Okay, maybe downright exhausted would be more accurate. (Which might explain my less-then-perky socialness of late. I go out and socialize but find myself sitting and watching mostly. Weird.) Not surprising given my schedule. So, upon arriving home, I napped. And napped. And napped some more. Over three hours later I emerged from my coma feeling much more like myself. Monte and I made ourselves a bit more presentable and headed out for an appearance at [livejournal.com profile] birdfigment's birthday bash. We were both still feeling slightly sluggish, but enjoyed the party and the conversations muchly. Still, we bailed early and headed home for more quiet time.

Since it was still so early when we got home, we decided to do some chores. Okay - we watched a Netflix. But that can start to feel like a chore when you never find time to do it! (Movies as obligation - discuss.)

So, we finally watched Rebecca, starring Olivier and Joan Fontaine, directed by Hitchcock, beautifully filmed. With the wonderful character of Mrs. Danvers. We liked it alot. And then we fell aspleep. Right there on the futon. And slept till morning. With the windows open. Over 9 hours of sleep.

Sunday - I awoke finally feeling perky again. I need to make sure I don't use up my newly banked sleep deposits too soon since I still have tech week to get through this week, with opening night on Friday.

Monte and I have been very productive today. We cleaned the kitchen and put things away and made breakfast (okay, I cleaned the kitchen, he made breakfast - division of labor is a splendid thing) and made an errand list. Really, running errands on a beautiful day like today is practically like playing hooky.

We went to Sam's Club and stocked up and went to the grocery store for fresh veggies and I did some belated and preemptive birthday present shopping and we got nibby things to hold up the bookshelf and now it's about time to head out to movie night.

I am happy.
