What's the rumpus?
Mar. 17th, 2003 11:30 amHeadline for Sunday Evening: Irony visits Windelina!
I picked Miller's Crossing as my movie pick for Sunday night and then found out it wasn't out on DVD yet. The ironic twist is that it will be out on DVD shortly. Oy.
However, I get to pat my own back for picking such a well-received, appreciated, anticipated movie. I knew it was good, but it's always nice when you can share something good with your friends.
Damn, I love Coen Brothers' dialog.
In other news:
- I am having lunch today with
petsnakereggie and LongHairedGeekBoy! It'll be an adventure!
- I am still sleepy. I think part of this continuing sleepiness is that my eyes are irritated and have been all weekend.
- I read in the Strib that pollution levels were up all weekend and continue to be today. Explains the irritated eyes.
- The weather continues warm through tomorrow. I left the windows open when I went to work. The cats were pleased.
- French Cheesecake will not appease my Cheesecake Cravings. Only real cheesecake will do. (Is it now "Freedom Cheesecake"?)
- I have decided that I get to bury my head in the proverbial sand today about the war. I'm tired, I'm busy, and I can't deal with the flood of impotent rage that occurs whenever I think about it.
- Then again, if there's a war, airfares will drop and the honeymoon will become more affordable. (Attempt at black humor there.)
-
ethel mentioned to me at
birdfigment's party that she may not be doing the Ethel Party at CVG this year. Her reasons are sound and I support her in them. But alas! Alas for my late-night DDR jones! Saturday night will not be the same! If I had free time at the con (hah!), I would offer to help run the party.
- I am continuing to feel unmotivated at work. And reviews are even coming up! And I've been a half-hour late to work for the past week or more.
- Tech week this week. Opening night Friday night.
Upcoming:
- Free evenings starting next week!
- Meet with Charles about being officiant.
- Finish the IRS Paperwork (Meeting Minutes) next week.
- Have a Lake Placid viewing party.
