Sometimes you just need to do laundry
Mar. 26th, 2003 11:31 amMonte had a brilliant idea last night - his parents are out of town. They have free laundry facilities. We have tons of laundry all over our bedroom.
I think you can see where this is going.
So, we ate a nummy Monte-Dinner (chicken in some sort of spicy lime sauce with rice and peppers), gathered up the unmentionables and headed over. For whatever reason, Monte focused more on getting my laundry done. Which I didn't mind, but I did feel slightly guilty about. While doing laundry, we watched "RKO 281: The Battle of Citizen Kane" (now that I have FINALLY seen "Citizen Kane") which was quite good. And then we listened to the commentary track of "X-Men" while folding laundry. And then we went home.
And having clean laundry always makes my day start right. That, and the resulting more-tidy appearance of the bedroom.
Upcoming: Tonight I do serious tax-minutes work (I've been working on it at work as well). Tomorrow night Kurosawa goodness. Then the weekend performances. And with Monte out of town, I have all day Saturday to finalize the minutes!
Oh - and a morning performance of GODSPELL for a school group tomorrow morning. 1/2 day off work - yay. Performing that early - ick.
