Oy. What a weekend.

I had big plans! Three shows, two cast parties, a group of people coming to see the show Saturday night, IRS minutes to do, and tidying the place while Monte was away.

Instead, I decided to catch a cold.

Other news:
- MMT may be remounting "The Rocky Horror Show" this fall (performances in October) and wants to know who would like their roles back. I said yes, of course!
- Monte is back this evening. I missed him.
- I am sad that I did not get any housecleaning done.
- I could go see MMT's "Sunday in the Park with George" but I am broke, sick, tired and wanting to see my Monte.
- I miss people.
- I need to pick an evening to view Lake Placid. I must share the b-rated glory.
- I want to get over this cold. I feel mostly fine, but boy is it lingering. The sneezing is really annoying.

On Missing Monte

So, Monte was gone all weekend for a mini-vacation with his family to Cancun.

And I didn't really miss him. I mean, I was busy and sick and sleeping and had shows to do. It was kind of nice not having the distraction around, actually.

He's only lived with me for a little over a month. And I've lived alone for years. It's not surprising that my world isn't shaken by his absence.

But...he hasn't called me during the day at work, cuz he's in Mexico. And there was no one to get me a glass of water when I was thirsty but still tired in bed. And I had a headache on SAturday, but nobody to rub the knots out of my shoulders. And there was nobody to tell the silly backstage stories to, or to worry at about my voice being scratchy. And nobody to wake me up last night when I slept for longer than I should have.

I missed him.
I'm glad he's back tonight.
