Supple, not burly

So, last night while I was doing the girls' hair, I mentioned Monte and commented, "Isn't he cute?"
The girls all agreed that he was cute.

And Sara (whose hair I was doing at the time) said,
"He's boyishly cute though. I was expecting your husband to be...burly."

My eyebrows raised, I grinningly asked, "Why would you expect my husband to be burly??"

"Well, you're so,..you're such a ... firecracker that I expected someone...bigger...to match!"

And that is why I love these kids.
God, they crack me up.

Another great performance last night. They managed to avoid the second-night slump and kept the energy and the focus up. It was actually, technically, a better performance than opening night. I'm very proud of them.
